Bourne Forge AI

About

Mark Bourne is a retired Internet Architect and science graduate with extensive experience in networking, Internet infrastructure and technology, including significant time working in and with China.

Over a long career designing and operating Internet infrastructure, the recurring lesson has been that resilient systems are built from simple, well-understood parts connected in disciplined ways. That same lens is now applied to artificial intelligence: understanding what a given AI tool actually does, where it is reliable, and where it is not.

Science, technology and AI

Bourne Forge AI exists to document that ongoing exploration: practical experiments, technical observations and honest notes on what works, rather than polished marketing claims.

The focus is on AI development that is practical, ethical and genuinely useful — tools and techniques that hold up under the same scrutiny that decades of infrastructure work demanded.
